Paranaque City set to finish 'ayuda' distribution to PWDs

The Paranaque City government is set to complete the distribution of unclaimed cash assistance to around 6,600 persons with disability (PWDs) on Monday, September 6.

According to Mar Jimenez, Public Information chief, the distribution of unclaimed financial assistance for PWDs started last Friday, September 3.

The city government recorded a total of 15,000 PWDs in the city.

Jimenez said Mayor Edwin Olivarez has ordered that the distribution of financial assistance to about 6,600 remaining PWDs to be finished on Monday.

He said PWDs will be receiving P2,000 since they were not heads of the family and were not able to get their financial aid under “Ayuda 1 & 2.”

The PIO head said that to ensure that health protocols will be followed, each barangay will be serving around 150 to 200 PWDs per day.

Jimenez said the distribution started at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to finish at 5 p.m.

He said the city government finished the distribution of the “ayuda” to thos affected by the Enhanced Community Quarantine last August 31.
