98 fully vaccinated Las Piñas residents still contract COVID-19 – Mayor Aguilar

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar asked the city residents to be extra cautious against COVID-19 after the City Health Office (CHO) reported that 98 fully vaccinated individuals still contracted the disease.

Aguilar said Dr. Julie Gonzales, CHO technical officer, reported that out of the 98 infected persons, 80 have been fully vaccinated while 18 received their first dose.

She said the CHO recorded that of the total 334 active cases in the city, 143 are asymptomatic, 185 are mild, and four are moderate.

Aguilar said the report showed the importance of getting vaccinated to protect themselves and their family from the virus.

She said fully vaccinated residents must continue to be cautious and observe the health protocols because they can still be infected with the virus.

The mayor also asks the residents to register for their vaccination schedule and become part of the “Ligtas na Las Piñero, Lahat Bakunado” campaign.
