The country set another grim milestone when it surpassed the two-million mark in coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections in the latest Department of Health (DOH) case bulletin released on Wednesday afternoon, September 1.

The DOH has also set a new price cap for reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests, while the move to administer booster shots on healthcare workers, at least for now, has gained more support.

Meanwhile, Malacanang said the special risk allowances for healthcare workers in public and private hospitals have all been released.

The verbal tussle between the Palace and some senators also continued.
