Bulacan accelerates vaccine rollout; long queue in Sta Maria alarms residents


A huge crowd of Bulakenyos flocked to a vaccination site early Wednesday in Sta. Maria, Bulacan as the Rural Health Office (RHU) accelerated its vaccine rollout and allowed the vaccination of 300 walk-in individuals.

The vaccination at the Walter Mart in Sta. Maria, Bulacan that started at 9 a.m. alarmed residents because of the huge crowd of people that lined up for vaccination.

Based on Sta Maria RHU official Facebook, the vaccination program in the municipality will continue on Thursday, September 2, at City Land, Barangay Pulong Buhangin wherein 400 walk-ins are allowed along with the 400 scheduled vaccinees.

On September 3, the vaccination will be at San Gabriel Village. They will allow 200 walk-ins. The vaccination will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, mobile vaccination was conducted in Barangay Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan on Wednesday to complete the inoculation of the remaining 300 individuals belonging to priority groups A2 and A3 or senior citizens and those with comorbidities.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando visited the site to ensure that minimum public health standards were being followed.
