Online order volumes will continue to rise this 2021, after e-commerce, which averaged 8 percent year-on-year growth pre-pandemic, spiked during last year’s restrictions when consumers shifted to online shopping.
This was according to John Queng Director of logistics and fulfillment provider Entrego Express.
Capitalizing on the growth of last-mile delivery, in particular, Entrego Express is expanding its services in the warehousing and fulfillment segment this year.
“Warehousing was the next logical step for us to grow our business,” he noted.
Entrego Express partnered with global software-as-a-service (SaaS) company Anchanto, using the latter’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) in its Manila Warehouse to scale eCommerce logistics and fulfillment activities for multiple brands.
Within a year of starting fulfillment service operations in 2020, Entrego Express already serves 14 brands through eCommerce enablers.
It now covers more than 95 percent of the country with more than 60 last mile hubs across the archipelago, with a sortation center in Laguna.
As part of its strategic growth plan this year, Entrego Express will continue to operate from its two newly constructed warehouse facilities, using Anchanto’s technology.
With backing from the Ayala Group, the company also intends to explore serving new market segments, for their B2B operations.
Already, it has processed 3.9 million orders through its platforms.
