Ospital ng Tondo COVID-19 ward reaches full capacity


The Ospital ng Tondo announced on Sunday (August 29) that it will no longer accept coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients after it's COVID-19 ward has reached full capacity.

“Nais ipagbigay-alam ng ating Ospital ng Tondo, na ngayong araw, ikaw-29 ng Agosto 2021, na ang ating COVID ward ay naabot na ang full-bed capacity nito (The Ospital ng Tondo informs the public that its COVID-19 ward has already reached its full bed capacity on Aug. 29, 2021),” the institution said in an advisory.

Ospital ng Tondo said that its emergency room will still be open for non COVID-19 patients and added that the hospital's telemedicine hotline will also be open for those in need of consultation.

The Ospital ng Sampaloc has also reached its full capacity on Saturday, Aug. 28.

As of Friday (Aug. 27), the six district hospitals in the city also reached 70 percent capacity with a total of 349 beds occupied.

The Manila COVID-19 Field Hospital has also reached 90 percent of its bed capacity
