COS celebrates Pride and love for all through these powerful statement shirts

The London-based fashion brand partners with local non-profit organizations Galang and Love Yourself

Pride Month may have ended last June but its fight continues with the latest collection from COS. Featuring the works of artist Coco Capitán, the line of statement shirts is all about "the spirit of living and loving authentically."

COS capsule collection with Coco Capitán

Simple yet powerful, the capsule collection presents three unique designs in the artist's signature handwriting style to share messages of love, freedom, and inclusivity. Phrases "Always love because love is always love," "A boyfriend called my girlfriend," and "Would you be my boyfriend girl queer friend" are shout-out to love in all its forms.

Exploring gender orientations inspired by Coco’s personal relationships, these messages are embroidered onto organic heavy-weight cotton t-shirts. Their boxy, structured shirts are available in unisex sizing.

Pride edition tote

Apart from the shirts by Coco, a special edition of the repurposed cotton tote will also be available. Bearing the brand's logo tinted the colors of the Progress flag, the tote utilizes excess cotton from our production process. It's durable, made to replace disposable packaging and 100 percent recyclable, an initiative that is at the core of the COS brand.

To create a more impactful change, the sustainable clothing brand also partners with local non-profits organizations. First is Galang, a female-led non-profit organization working with and for economically disadvantaged LGBTQI and seeks to support, educate, promote the fair treatment of all persons equally regardless of class, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. The other is Love Yourself, which centers its efforts in providing safe spaces and services for the sexual, mental, and transgender community in the Philippines.

According to the brand, 100 percent of the proceeds from the sales of t-shirt capsule and 100 percent profits from the sales of the Pride edition tote will be donated to above organizations.

"COS stands together with the LGBT+ community and are committed to building a brand where everyone is free to be themselves, whomever they choose to love," the brand says. "Funds raised from the sales of these products will be donated to Philippines-based LGBT+ organizations."

The t-shirt collection is available at COS Manila SM Aura Premier at P3,250. For more information, visit @cosstores on Instagram.
