The Navotas City government completed on Wednesday the distribution of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) cash aid from the national government.
“We were able to finish the distribution of ECQ ayuda within the 15-day deadline. We are thankful to all our city government and barangay employees, as well as personnel of the Philippine National Police–Navotas, who took on the task of delivering prompt and efficient services in all payout venues,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.
A total of 62,600 families received the cash aid from the P21,407,000 allocated by the national government and P1536,000 from the city government.
The local fund covered the cash assistance of persons with disability, solo parents, and the remainder of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries.
“Our grievance and appeals committee has started validating requests of constituents who have not received any cash assistance since the community quarantine began last year,” Tiangco said.
“Our long battle with the pandemic and the implementation of community quarantine have severely affected our people’s livelihood. We will strive to provide financial assistance to our constituents who need it the most,” he added.
