Channel effortless French style with the latest Uniqlo x Ines de la Fressange collection

Discover cozy style à la Ines

There are only a handful of international destinations where people go for fashion. Topping that list is, of course, its birthplace France. Its capital, Paris, has been the epicenter of couture. But setting aside its high fashion legacy, Paris and its people are loved by many for their chic yet easy sense of dressing. A take that merges style with for function.

Uniqlo x Ines de la Fressange fall-winter 2021 dresses

While we cannot travel to the City of Lights during this pandemic time, global retail brand Uniqlo is bringing Paris to us with its latest fall-winter 2021 offering, featuring the designs of its long-time collaborator Ines de la Fressange.

A lifestyle icon and symbol of French chic, Ines has again infused the Japanese brand's Lifewear with her effortless French style. For this collection, she looked at the Swiss village of Rossinière, beloved by artists for its beautiful mountain scenery for inspiration. Located in the Lake Geneva district, the pastoral scenes of meadows stretching over the mountain valleys have had a profound influence on many painters. According to the brand, Rossinière is known for the Grand Chalet villa, the historical cultural heritage site that was the final abode of the late artist Balthus. It is also the place where Ines spends her Christmas holidays. A comfortable wardrobe with a hint of nostalgia is ideally suited to a relaxing holiday in such bountiful nature. This season’s collection once more delivers the sophisticated and relaxed stylings characteristic of Ines.

Lifewear becomes Parisian chic in this collaboration collection

Described as "cozy," this new lineup radiates nostalgia and warmth. It presents 41 fashion pieces in beige moss-green earth tones, with fun items in check patterns or lovely small floral accents, ensemble knits in a gorgeous lambswool material. Expect to see cashmere blend knit ponchos, and 3D knit dresses with a simple yet shapely and attractive silhouette. Of course, this wouldn't be an Ines collection without her play on masculine style, which is reflected in the line's jacket and other tailored ensembles. Going full circle on French style, the collection also includes accessories from berets to reusable shopping bags in a wide variation of patterns.

Casual suiting and tailored outwear, a design hallmark of Ines
