Pateros starts accepting vaccine jab registration from other LGUs

The Pateros municipal government on Saturday started accepting registration for vaccination of people from other local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila.

It launched a QR code-based registration wherein non-Pateros residents can scan it to apply for a vaccination slot in the municipality.

Non-residents can scan this QR code to register for vaccination in Pateros (Pateros municipal government)

“We vax as one in NCR. After reaching the herd immunity for the first dose in Pateros and in our aim to help other nearby towns or cities, we will start accepting people for vaccination from cities in the National Capital Region,” the municipal government announced on Facebook.

It emphasized that Pateros residents and those who are scheduled to receive their second dose of the vaccine are still the priority.

Pateros Mayor Miguel “Ike” Ponce III announced last Thursday that the municipal government would vaccinate people from other parts of Metro Manila.

In the QR code-based vaccination form, non-Pateros residents are advised to follow rules before going to the vaccination center in Pateros.

For those under A2 priority group, or senior citizens, they need to bring one government ID that indicates their birth date.

For A3, or persons with comorbidities, they are required to present a doctor’s prescription if they are taking medicine for maintenance. If they have asthma, they need to present a doctor’s certificate with a license number to prove they have the medical condition.

People who belong to the A4 priority group, or essential workers, must present their ID and certification from their department head. They are advised to bring a ballpen, face shield, and face mask.

The vaccination site in Pateros from where they will get their first dose will also be the venue for their second dose.

Pateros achieved its target of vaccinating 80 percent of its eligible population for the first dose or 56,000 people of the estimated total population of 70,000.

The names of the registrants will be sent to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to check if they have been vaccinated or not.

“Once the DICT has finished with the checking, the clean list will be sent back to us and we will schedule little by little. Only gradual. No walk-ins. They need to receive a text message before going to the vaccination center and they need to bring a valid ID indicating where they reside,” said Ponce.
