Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) Philippines has kicked off its vaccination drive recently in partnership with ActiveOne Health, Inc. that administered the 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccine to hundreds of employees based in Quezon City and Muntinlupa during the first wave of its HGS ComeVacc Program.
HGS is the first private company to vaccinate a mass number of employees in the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) industry in the country.
HGS President and CEO Pushkar Misra said that the company has always prioritized employee welfare since the start of the pandemic last year. “We have always prioritized the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees especially in this pandemic where we still find ourselves in for more than a year now. In line with this, HGS Philippines secured three COVID-19 vaccine brands for our employees. Together and stronger, we all ensure business continuity by delivering our service commitments to our clients under the new normal,” Misra revealed.
HGS VP for HR and Corporate Communications Marissa Rosales said that HGS tapped ActiveOne Health which is a leading corporate clinic and wellness services management company and a subsidiary of Reliance United to administer the COVID-19 vaccines to thousands of HGS employees nationwide.
“The company takes pride in its commitment to put the welfare of its employees first and we are happy that HGS employees will be among the first workforce in the BPO industry to be vaccinated,” Rosales added.
Misra also divulged that the company plans to complete the vaccination of its 10,000 employees before the end of the year. “If all the vaccines that we ordered will arrive on schedule, we can complete the vaccination of all our employees even before the year ends. But the timely delivery of vaccines will depend on the available supplyS,” he said.
HGS entered into a tripartite agreement with the government and vaccine manufacturers early this year as part of its business continuity plan during the COVID-19 pandemic.
