Despite the bad weather, residents of Barangays Sto. Tomas at San Fransisco received their financial assistance of P1,000 per person.

"Humihingi po tayo ng paumanhin kung medyo aabutin tayo ng umaga sa pamamahagi ng ayuda. Ang patuloy na pag-ulan ay makapagpapabagal sa ating pamamahagi, (I apologize if our cash aid distribution will take until morning. The non-stop rains are hampering our distribution)," Mayor Arman Dimaguila posted on his Facebook page past 12:00 a.m. on August 20.

The LGU has previously rolled out a house-to-house cash aid distribution system in April when the city was also placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). Distributions are done from 4:00 p.m. onwards to spare the working team from the harsh afternoon sun.

Under the system, LGU workers collect cash aid forms in advance. The house-to-house cash distribution is scheduled per barangay and announced through the LGU's Facebook page and the local radio station, Radyo Biñan 87.9.

According to Laguna Provincial Government, the national government has allotted almost P306 million for financial assistance in Biñan.
