Caloocan City gov’t starts house-to-house vaccination of bedridden residents


The city government of Caloocan on Friday launched the mobile vaccination or the house-to-house vaccination for bedridden residents.

The mobile vaccination team will inoculate bedridden senior citizens and persons with disability (PWD) using Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine against COVID-19.

"Batid natin na kahit hindi sila lumalabas ng kanilang bahay ay kailangan pa rin nila ng proteksyon dahil mas vulnerable o madali silang kapitan ng sakit," Mayor Oca Malapitan said. (We all know that even if they do not go out of their homes, they still need to be protected because they are vulnerable to diseases.)

Residents who wish to set an appointment for the mobile vaccination may coordinate with the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs at 288 88 11 loc 2258 or Persons With Disabilities Affairs Office at 288 88 11 local 2269.

As of August 18, the city has administered 1,059,047 COVID-19 vaccines.
