Arjo Atayde’s father defends son from ‘tumakas’ accusation

More and more people are now coming out to defend Arjo Atayde's actions in Baguio.

After girlfriend Maine Mendoza, co-actor Nikko Natividad and mom, Sylvia Sanchez, now, it's his father, Art Atayde's turn.

In a recent vlog, comedian Ogie Diaz shared details of his recent conversation with the controversial actor's father.

"Ang totoo hindi po tumakas si Arjo. Yan ay according sa kanyang butihing ama," said Ogie.

The two said Arjo is now recovering in a hospital.

Recall that it was Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong who first opened up on the issue, relating how Arjo supposedly did not inform him about his plan to leave the city.

“Bigla siyang umalis kahapon without our knowledge. May potential na puwede siyang makahawa ng iba dahil sa ginawa niya," said the mayor in an interview with RNG Luzon on Aug. 17.

“I’m in touch with him. Binigyan ko lang siya ng instruction na make sure na lahat ng tao mo, walang lalabas, walang aalis, only to find out na iniwan na pala niya. Nakaalis na siya."

Meanwhile, Feelmaking Productions Inc. has apologized to the local government for the “inconvenience.”

Arjo’s mother, veteran actress Sylvia, reposted the statement of Feelmaking Productions Inc.

“Praying for everyone’s safety and healing,” Sylvia wrote.

Arjo’s girlfriend Maine Mendoza also reacted to a netizen’s tweet.

“Hello! I am not “tolerating” him but there’s just so much you do not know about the story. And I hope he gets the chance to tell his side and the context of what had happened these past few days. I also hope you do not base your judgments solely on what you see online because you might just be seeing an angle of the real scenario.”

On the other hand, Nikko Natividad refuted allegations against Arjo.
