Pasig City fully-vaccinates more than 200,000 individuals


The Pasig City local government unit (LGU) announced on Thursday that it has fully vaccinated over 200,000 Pasigueños against COVID-19.

According to the City Health Office, the Pasig City has already deployed 510,321 vaccines in its vaccination program as of August 18 wherein 309,181 residents have received their first dose, and 201,140 have been fully vaccinated.

The LGU added that 314,148 of those who were vaccinated received Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccines; 81,763 AstraZeneca; 76,249 Pfizer; 3,811 Gamaleya's Sputnik V;11,879 Johnson & Johnson's Janssen; and 22,471 Moderna.

Pasig City's target population to achieve herd immunity is 421,659 based on the adult population census data of May 2020.

The LGU has recorded 1,361 active COVID-19 cases, 37,499 recoveries, and 1,048 deaths as of August 18.
