The Pasay City government placed 536 houses under granular lockdown on August 18 after recording the transmission of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) among these households.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the City Health Office (CHO) said the 536 houses placed under granular lockdown are from 89 barangays in the city.
Rubiano said the city government is limiting to the actual households affected the granular lockdown implementation.
She said the city recorded a total of 147 out of 201 barangays with active cases of COVID-19.
As of August 18, the city government recorded a total of 722 confirmed cases, 91 of which are new.
Among the barangays with COVID-19 cases, Barangay 183 recorded the highest number of cases at 146 followed by barangay 201 with 28 cases.
The other barangays with high COVID-19 cases are Barangays 78 with 18; 184 with 15; 110 with 14; 161 with 13; 42 and 124 with 12 and 14 cases respectively; and 65 with 11 .
The mayor ordered the intensified contact tracing, RT-PCR, isolation, and treatment and placing the barangays with active cases under granular lockdown.
Rubiano urged residents to get vaccinated and to follow the EMI habit (ensure to always wash your hands, mask and face shield are a must, and implement the physical distancing).
She also reminded residents not to go out of their residences unless they are APORs (authorized persons outside of residence).
