LOOK: BOC team green-lights release of 300K Pfizer jabs


Bureau of Customs (BOC) personnel at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) have expedited the release of 313,569 doses of the Pfizer vaccine that arrived in the country on Wednesday night, Aug. 18.

Contained in thermal boxes, the American-made coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines were flown in via Air Hong Kong flight AHK 457.

BOC-NAIA, which provided the photos here, cleared the shipment of the life-saving jabs one day before its scheduled arrival. This is in line with the agency's commitment to support the national government’s mass vaccination program by expediting the release of the jabs.
