Pasay City hospital hits full capacity, can no longer accept COVID patients

Pasay City’s lone pubic hospital, the Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH), can no longer accept patients afflicted with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) after it reached its full capacity.

Based on the memorandum order of Dr. John Victor De Gracia, PCGH officer-in-charge, the hospital’s COVID-19 wards, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and isolation beds reached full capacity on Tuesday night.

De Gracia said that the hospital reaching its full capacity will pose a problem and it cannot go beyond it in managing COVID-19 patients as this may compromise services for non-COVID-19 patients.

He advised COVID-19 cases to be referred to other medical institutions for further management.

De Gracia assured that he will be giving updates on the hospital’s status on COVID-19 bed occupancy and send out an advisory if it can again accept COVID-19 patients.

The hospital is still accepting non-COVID-19 patients.

He advised COVID-19 patients looking for referrals to coordinate with One Hospital Command Center at telephone number 09199773333, 09157777777 and 0288650500.
