JCI Cainta marks its golden year anniversary with an equitable goal


The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Cainta, Inc. celebrated its 50th year anniversary on Independence Day, June 12, this year. The JCI Local Organization (LO) was chartered by its first President, JCI Sen. Manny Duldulao. JCI Cainta serves the municipality of Cainta, Rizal–Philippines’ wealthiest municipality and gateway to the East—and nearby areas.

JCI Cainta started and was known for its community service projects during the 70’s. Among its first landmark programs is a “tax campaign” which encouraged Cainteños to pay their taxes on time. Another landmark program of the LO was the “Adopt a Poor Child for a Week” where chapter members advocated for the assistance of the poor children around Cainta.

After half a century of giving aid to the community, JCI Cainta also develop its members, both past and present. Distinguished names in the field of arts, business, and government such as TOYM Awardee for the Arts–JCI Sen. Manny Duldulao, Business Tycoon JCI Sen. Bert Fenix, and Cainta Vice Mayor Ace Servillon, among others.

Fifty years after its charter, the organization still continue to be the leading global network of young active citizens. The organization continues to be a prominent organization in individual and community development. The LO continues to be represented in regional and national positions in JCI and other development organizations and government instrumentalities.

This year, JCI Cainta, Inc., pushes for the mantra of “We Matter” as its call-to-action. The mantra aims for to address inequity in the communities of Cainta. Included in the organization’s plan of action this 2020 are programs to address food insecurity, socio-cultural gaps among children, and discrimination towards indigenous.
