Did actor Arjo Atayde leave Baguio City despite being tested positive for COVID-19?

This was the revelation of Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong who claimed that 10 stars of an upcoming film shooting in the Pine City were tested positive for the virus.

"Positive yung isang grupo ng mga artista na nagsu-shooting dito, yung grupo nila Mr. (Arjo) Atayde. They committed to us na magkakaoron sila ng bubble, pero hindi nangyari," said Magalong in an interview by RNG Luzon on Aug. 17.

Magalong said: "Yung monthly na testing nila hindi nila nagawa. Ito ang nangyari ngayon. Ten people ngayon out of 100, naging positive."

"Positve siya (Arjo) kaso bigla siyang umalis kahapon without our knowledge. He's claiming siya lang daw ang asymptomatic at yung mga kasama niya iniwan na lang niya. May potential na puwede siyang makahawa ng iba dahil sa ginawa niya.

"I'm in touch with him. Binigyan ko lang siya ng instruction na walang lalabas only to find out na iniwan na pala niya ang mga kasama niya," the mayor added.

The mayor said that the 9 other stars tested positive of the virus were taken to a quarantine facility. Magalong also said that his office will investigate the group for breach of protocols.

Arjo said that he will release a statement on the incident.
