BLACKPINK, aespa, Red Velvet, Brave Girls and TWICE topped the K-pop girl group brand reputation rankings for the month of August.
The Korea Corporate Research Institute analyzed 35.59 million pieces of big data from July 15 to Aug. 15, a decrease of 23.93 percent from 46.78 million in July.
The brand reputation index is created through brand big data analysis based on consumer participation, media exposure, communication and community indices. Brand monitor analysis of 100 brand reputation editors were also included.
BLACKPINK rose to first from third place last month with a brand reputation index of 3.24 million, down by 8.81 percent from 3.55 million in July.
Aespa fell to second from first place with a brand reputation score of 2.7 million, a decrease of 44.74 percent from 4.9 million last month.
Red Velvet climbed to third from sixth place, garnering a brand reputation index of 2.49 million, up by 11.99 percent from 2.22 million last month.
Brave Girls slid to fourth from second place, recording a brand reputation score of 2.46 million, down by 48.88 percent from 4.83 million in July.
TWICE fell to fifth from fourth place with a score of 2.39 million, a decrease of 31.16 percent from 3.47 million last month.
