Pateros received P52.41 million from the national government to be given to individuals affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), which will be in effect in Metro Manila until Aug. 20.

The financial assistance will be given in the amount of P1,000 per individual or a maximum of P4,000 per family.

“We are confident that in the ninth day of distributing the 'ayuda,' we will finish all the barangays in Pateros,” he said in a live broadcast on Facebook.

He thanked residents who went to the payout centers in the municipality for following their time slot and there was no instance that there was crowding in any area.

“Slowly but surely, we will be able to pay all our qualified residents with the ‘ayuda’ that we are giving from the national government.

In a notice posted on the Pateros Facebook page, claimants are advised to bring a valid government-issued ID and two photocopies.

For representatives of those who cannot personally claim the “ayuda,” they are advised to bring an authorization letter and valid IDs of the beneficiary and representative.

The municipal government also advised people to get a certificate of oneness from their barangay if there is discrepancy in their name on the list and in their ID.

Pateros has 10 barangays: Aguho, Magtanggol, Martires del 96, Poblacion, San Pedro, San Roque, Santa Ana, Santo Rosario-Kanluran, Santo Rosario-Silangan and Tabacalera.

The National Capital Region has a total fund of P10.89 billion for the financial assistance from the national government and Pateros, being the smallest local government unit (LGU), has the smallest allotment.

On Friday, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Benhur Abalos visited Pateros and met with Ponce to see the vaccination and “ayuda” payout centers.
