PDEA seizes P3M worth of ecstasy in Baguio City raid


Anti-narcotics operatives arrested a drug pusher and seized P3,031,100 worth of suspected ecstasy during a controlled delivery operation in Barangay Gibraltar, Baguio City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Thursday, Aug. 12.

In a Viber message, PDEA spokesperson Derrick Arnold Carreon identified the suspect as Elisa Aguirre Millare, 52, of 26 AB Sitio Mabilog, Barangay New Era Quezon City.

Initial reports revealed that the anti-narcotics operatives confiscated one parcel with 1,783 tablets of suspected ecstasy declared as “bed sheets and shoes” shipped by Fostina Obobo of Romerstrasse 40 41462 Neuss, Germany and consigned to Joyce Annsan Antonoof Room 101 Brisle Ridge Residences, Pacdal Road, Baguio City 2600, Benguet.

The parcel contained one pair of shoes, two bed sheets, four improvised pouches made of duct tape each containing several colored tablets, one black clipboard attached with one authorization letter, LTO student permit and photocopy of consignee's identification card (ID) bearing the name of Joyce Ann Jores San Antonio.

The operation was conducted at around 12:30 p.m. along Ambuclao Road.
