Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya praised the smooth distribution of “ayuda” in Las Pinas City on Thursday.
Malaya, who was joined by Philippine National Police chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, Department of Social Welfare and Development Asec. Jocelyn Niwane, monitored the city's second day of distribution of financial assistance.
Malaya observed that the beneficiaries were following the health protocols while patiently waiting for their names to be called.
City Administrator Reynaldo Balagulan, who personally welcomed the monitoring team on behalf of Mayor Imelda Aguilar, said the city government only allows 500 beneficiaries per day in each cash aid distribution site to avoid overcrowding.
He said the barangays will be posting the names of 500 beneficiaries and their schedules to receive their “ayuda”.
Malaya and Eleazar congratulated the city government for implementing an orderly system in the distribution of cash aid.
