Pasay City government to start 'ayuda' distribution in five barangays

The Pasay City government will start the distribution of financial assistance or “ayuda” coming from the national government on August 11 in five barangays in the city.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the five barangays - 1, 178, 145, 183, and 201 finished posting the names of qualified beneficiaries of P1,000 for every individual or P4,000 per household on August 9.

Rubiano said a total of 16,048 heads of the family will be receiving the cash “ayuda.”

She reminded the beneficiaries to bring valid identification cards (ID) and three photo copies of the ID; that the beneficiaries must be in his or her residence in Pasay from August 6 to 20, and if there is an error in his or her valid ID, the beneficiary must secure a certificate of oneness from the barangays where they reside.

To avoid overcrowding during the payout, Rubiano ordered the barangays to institute the system of scheduling the time of the payout to a batch of 10 residents at a time.

Rubiano said the city government also verified the list submitted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to determine if the individuals listed are qualified to receive the “ayuda” from the national government.
