Only a limited number of attendees will be present during Pabillo’s formal installation due to the community quarantine restrictions and in observance of the safety measures against the coronavirus.

Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula was supposed to lead Bishop Pabillo’s installation as earlier announced but changes had to be made because of the on-going Enhanced Community Quarantine in the National Capital Region. Aside from Advincula, Papal Nuncio Archbishop Charles John Brown will likewise miss the event due to travel restrictions.

"Bishop Socrates Mesiona of Puerto Princesa will lead my formal installation. Bishop Edgardo Juanich will also be there. So basically, it is an all Palawan team,” Pabillo said over Radio Veritas.

Pabillo will be installed at the St. Joseph Cathedral at 9 a.m. The rites will be aired live by Radio Veritas and may be viewed through the Radyo Veritas Ph Facebook page.

Bishop Pabillo arrived in Taytay, Palawan on August 5 and was met by the faithful in Palawan who had been without a shepherd for more than three years following the retirement of Bishop Juanich for health reasons.
