Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año said on Sunday, August 8, quarantine passes with two names listed on it are valid but stressed that there are strict conditions that must be followed.
First, Año said that the two names listed in a quarantine pass must be from the same household, noting that the listing of two names is in anticipation of worse case scenarios such as if one of them could not go out to avail of essential goods and services.
Second. he said only one person could go out using the quarantine pass at a time when goods and services are being availed
Metro Manila is under Enhanced Community Quarantine from August 6 to August 20. Metro Manila Local Government units (LGUs) began issuing quarantine passes for their respective constituents at the span of the two-week ECQ.
Meanwhile, Año noted that there is no result yet on the probe being conducted on the supposed “sabotage’’ that led to the influx of huge crowds from outside Metro Manila that led to the chaotic situation in the vaccination sites in Manila where health protocols were violated.
