Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray was dragged to the issue of content creator Nas Daily after some netizens urged her to take a stand on Nas Academy.

In the comment section of Catriona's Instagram, some netizens have urged the Australian-Filipino beauty queen to speak out on the backlash.

Some comments:

"Take a stand on the Apo Whang-od issue."

"Reseach din regarding don sa vlog nya na Nas daily 'Shipping trap' which is ang kalat nya don mali mali info nya."

"You can make your own academy huwag pa gamit kay Nas lols budol yan."

As of Aug. 8, Catriona has not issued a statement on the Nas Daily debate.

On Aug. 3, Nas Daily featured Catriona's inspiring story, from her financial struggles to winning Miss Universe in 2018. Catriona's story was featured via a six-minute video on Facebook of Nas Daily.

The same day, Catriona thanked everyone who partied with the academy after her course went live on the nasacademy.com website.

"Late post but still on a high from the #CatrionaGrayAcademy #BeAQueen @nasacademy LAUNCH party last Saturday with almost 600 of you from all around the world! By far the biggest zoom party I've ever attended! Thanks to everyone who came and partied with us. My course is now LIVE on the nasacademy.com website," wrote Catriona a few days ago.

Nas Daily responded to the beauty queen's post then: "QUEEN! Thank you for your beautiful energy and for empowering all of us!"

In another post, Catriona wrote about what to expect in her course for the academy. "In my course, I'll share my real life experiences and learnings to help you Speak your Mind, Build Self-Confidence and Overcome Insecurities."

The controversy began when Whang-od’s grandniece Grace Palicas revealed that Nas Daily’s Whang-od Academy is a “scam.”

GMA News journalist Shai Lagarde has also shared a story about how the foreign content creator insulted Filipinos.
