The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Saturday, Aug. 7, announced that lottery and all other games are allowed in areas under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).
The agency informed the public that pursuant to the Omnibus Guidelines on the implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines - with amendments as of Aug. 6, 2021 - “operations of all PCSO games in areas under MECQ is authorized.”
Cavite, Lucena City, Rizal and Iloilo province are under MECQ from Aug. 6 to 15.
Meanwhile, in an announcement on Aug. 5, the agency said that “selling of tickets of all PCSO games” in the areas under ECQ are “suspended.”
Metro Manila was placed under ECQ from Aug. 6 to 20. Laguna, Iloilo City and Cagayan de Oro are also under ECQ from Aug. 6 to 15.
However, PCSO said that the “conduct and airing of lottery draws for nationwide Lotto and Digit games at the PCSO Main Office have been approved for continued operation” by the Inter-Agency Task Force pursuant to the Omnibus Guidelines on the Community Quarantine Classification in the country.
