Korean idol Kim Woojin made his solo debut on Aug. 5 with the release of his first mini-album “The Moment: 未成年, A Minor.”
The album contains the carrier track “Ready Now.” At 10 p.m. he held his album showcase on his social media channel and spent time with fans by telling them about the album and the story while making it.
Kim Woojin started the showcase with the first stage of the pre-debut single “Still Dream” that was released last month, which features a cheerful melody.
In addition, he made his debut by unveiling the stage of the mini-album title song “Ready Now,” where the rhythmic sound and cool vocals of Kim Woojin are showcased.
“There are many moments when people’s eyes are afraid. It contains the feeling of being alone without my side, and the message of overcoming wounds and moving forward with a strong will,” he said.
“Ready Now,” according to his album showcase, “holds the story of the banality of evil. It contains the will to end the absurd situations that have been institutionalized under the pretext for the future. With power sound and rhythmical beats, this track provides a high level of immersion along with Kim Woojin’s refreshing voice.”
“The Moment: 未成年, A Minor” also contains the songs “Intro: Alea iacta est.,” “My growing pains,” “Still Dream,” “In my space” and “Purple Sky.”
Kim Woojin had prepared for his solo debut for a long time and the release of his first solo album is the culmination of his hard work.
On Korea’s Hanteo Chart, the album sold 1,660 copies on the first day of release and placed eighth on the daily physical album chart for Aug. 5.
On Gaon Music Chart, “The Moment: 未成年, A Minor” sold 1,654 copies on the first day to place fifth on the daily retail album chart.
