“Yes we do have liquor ban ,” the mayor said in a text message to the Manila Bulletin.

The local government said it will soon issue a city ordinance about the liquor ban in Mandaluyong City.

On August 3, San Juan City had announced that it will implement a city-wide liquor ban, prohibiting establishments to sell liquor.

Due to the surge of cases and the threat posed by the highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19, Metro Manila will be placed ECQ from August 6 to 20.

The national government has recently announced that it will provide financial assistance to listed Social Amelioration Program (SAP) beneficiaries following ECQ imposition in the metropolis.

As of August 4, 2021, Mandaluyong City has a total of 349 active cases of COVID-19.
