2 wanted foreigners arrested in Mandaluyong City

Anti-narcotics agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Mandaluyong police arrested on Wednesday, August 4, two Chinese nationals after they yielded some P68,000 worth of shabu when arrest warrant was being served in a Mandaluyong City condominium.

In a statement released on August 5, PDEA Regional Office National Capital Region (RO-NCR) Director Christian Frivaldo identified the suspects as Ben He, 34, and Kouyu Tian, 30.

Aside from the 10 grams of shabu, Frivaldo said that the operatives also seized other various drugs and non-drug paraphernalia in their possession.

Criminal charges for violation of RA 9165 otherwise known as "The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002" will be filed against the arrested foreign nationals.

It is not immediately clear if the operation is also connected to three separate operations in Metro Manila and Bulacan on August 1 wherein PDEA and p;ie seized some P1.5 billion worth of shabu, killed a big-time drug pusher and arrested four other foreigners.
