The Department of Education (DEpEd) on Wednesday, Aug. 4, urged the teachers and students to join the three-day virtual event in celebration of the 22nd International Youth Day.
DepEd said the event will be held on August 12 to 14 at 3 p.m. in partnership with the United Nations Association of the Philippines (UNAP) and the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP).
“This three-day virtual event titled “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health” aims to celebrate and mainstream young peoples’ voices, actions, and initiatives, as well as their meaningful, universal, and equitable engagement,” it wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
This year’s theme of the International Youth Day is “Youth, I AM: Innovators, Actors and Movers of UN-Sustainable Development Goals”.
“Interested teachers and students may send their list of participants to [email protected] until August 8, 2021,” DepEd said.
