Muntinlupa City Council passes ordinance expanding APORs' list

The Muntinlupa City Council passed an ordinance on Monday expanding the list of authorized persons outside of residence (APOR) during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from Aug. 6 to 20.

The government will place the National Capital Region (NCR) under ECQ for two weeks due to the rising number of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases and the threat of the Delta variant.

Under the ordinance, the following will be allowed to go out during ECQ from Aug. 6 to 20 in Muntinlupa:

a. Those persons who go out of their residence for their vaccination as confirmed by the MUNCOVAC

B. Those persons who will register in the vaccination center nearest their residence within their respective barangays

C. Those who will register as a voter pursuant to the schedule given by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC)

“Despite another restriction of movement, the thrust of the local government of Muntinlupa is to achieve maximum vaccination of the targeted population in order to achieve its targeted number of vaccinated people in the city,” the ordinance stated.

As of July 27, Muntinlupa has vaccinated 174,456 individuals with the first dose, or 45.22 percent of the target population of 385,725. In addition, 114,182 individuals are now fully vaccinated, or 29.6 percent of the target.

Tasked to implement the ordinance are the Muntinlupa police, Public Order and Security Office (POSO), City Security Office (CSO), Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau (MTMB), and barangay chairmen and their personnel.
