Adamson community 'proud' of Carlos Yulo's Olympic performance


The Adamson University (AdU) community is "proud" of Carlos Yulo's Olympic performance after he placed fourth in the artistic gymnastics of the Tokyo Olympics on Monday, Aug. 2.

"Carlos Yulo ranked 4th in the Vault Finals. He may not have won a medal but he won our hearts and made us very proud! Looking forward to Paris 2024! Salamat Caloy," AdU wrote on its Facebook page.

"The Adamson community is proud of you, Klasmeyt Carlos. Salamat sa laban!" The Adamson Chronicle, the university's official publication added.

The 21-year old gymnast spent his Junior High School at AdU.

Yulo tallied an average score of 14.716, ending up behind bronze medalist Arthur Davtyan of Armenia (14.783).

South Korea's Shin Jeahwan clinched the gold medal with a score of 14.783, while the Russian Olympic Committee's Denis Abliazin settle for silver also at 14.783.
