RLC, Go Negosyo team up for MSME frontliners’ vaccination

Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) has opened its malls for the vaccination of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) economic frontliners’ as part of the government and the private sector partnership in battling the COVID-19 global health pandemic.

“We, at Robinsons Land, are committed to doing our part in helping the country and our fellow Filipinos overcome this crisis. We will continue to support efforts to vaccinate the population at the soonest possible time," said RLC President and CEO Frederick Go.

Through its Robinsons Malls, RLC has opened its Lingkod Pinoy Centers to Go Negosyo's A Dose of Hope vaccination program, recognizing that an even more accelerated vaccination roll-out is a crucial step toward achieving herd immunity.  The MSMEs account for 96 percent of the country’s businesses.

Under "A Dose of Hope” program, pioneered by Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Jose Concepcion III, the private sector, vaccine manufacturers, and the government have agreed to expedite the vaccine procurement process for private sector employees and economic frontliners.

Concepcion said that there is an urgency to halt the recently detected transmission of the Delta variant through an accelerated vaccination rollout.

“The Delta virus is here, and we must prepare now. With more and more cases being recorded, it’s become a tight and dangerous race between Delta and the government and private sector’s efforts to vaccinate the unvaccinated." he said.

Concepcion also acknowledged the support of the Robinsons Malls to facilitate the private sector's inoculation rollouts.

"With this, I recognize the efforts of our partner Robinson Land Corporation, for facilitating a speedy private sector’s vaccination rollout, and making it more accessible to our MSMEs who have been greatly affected by this pandemic,” he added.

This is especially critical for MSMEs that are unable to procure vaccine supplies on their own due to the minimum order requirement for logistics and vaccine administration.

Almost 300 MSMEs with close to 170,000 employees are targeted to benefit from the program that will be offered in several Robinsons Malls across the country.

In Metro Manila, vaccination sites are slated to open in Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia, and Robinsons Place Manila.

For the rest of Luzon, these will be set up in Robinsons Place General Trias in Cavite, Robinsons Starmills in Pampanga, and Robinsons Place Palawan.

Other malls that will be hosting the vaccination program include Robinsons Galleria Cebu and Robinsons Place Bacolod in Visayas, and Robinsons Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao. In addition to these, RLC is looking to roll out in more malls nationwide.

Lingkod Pinoy Center is RLC’s mall-based government center that houses various government agencies with the aim of bringing critical services closer to citizen.

In addition to A Dose of Hope, RLC partnered with 28 LGUs nationwide for the on-going vaccination of individuals under the A1 to A5 priority groups. Robinsons Malls serves as the perfect venues for these vaccination programs because of their strategic locations and easy accessibility via both public and private transportation.

These efforts form part of RLC's overall commitment to strengthen the fight against COVID-19.
