In a Facebook announcement on July 29, Mayor Lani M. Revilla said that the city government has decided to change the community quarantine status right away after recording 92 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases on Thursday.

The LGU has beefed up its COVID-19 testing and contact tracing operations after recording two Delta variant cases in two subdivisions.

Addas 2C in Barangay Molino II was placed under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) after recording 27 COVID-19 cases.

"Kalakhan sa mga nag-positibo ay may relasyon sa Delta variant case doon (Most of the positive cases are related to the Delta variant case)," Revilla said.

Under the localized ECQ, only Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) and residents with quarantine passes can go out.

Addas 2C and BF El Grande Subdivision in Barangay Molino VI, have been placed under lockdown since July 23.
