Senator Richard J. Gordon has been admitted in a hospital in Makati City after initial tests indicated that he has pneumonia.
In a statement sent by his office to Senate reporters on Thursday, July 29, Gordon said he was brought on Wednesday night, July 28, to the Makati Medical Center (MMC) for observation and further testing related to COVID-19.
‘’Initial COVID-19 panel test results and high-resolution chest CT-scan findings indicate COVID pneumonia. Sen. Gordon is being treated accordingly and will remain at MMC until further notice,’’ the statement stated.
‘’He sends his thanks to all of those who have sent messages and offered prayers for his recovery,’’ it added.
Gordon was found positive of COVID-19 infection on Wednesday following an RT-PCR test by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), which he currently chairs.
