Creamline seeks to extend their unbeaten run to solidify its hold of the top spot when it tackles giant slayer Bali Pure on Wednesday in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the PCV Socio-Civic & Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.

Match is at 6 p.m. with the Cool Smashers seeking their fifth straight win.

Powered by Alyssa Valdez’s 16-point performance, Creamline routed the PLDT Home Fibr Hitters, 25-16, 25-12, 25-13, Sunday to stay at the helm.

And the Cool Smashers did it in the absence of middle blocker Jeanette Panaga, who will be out for seven to 10 days due to a sprained right ankle she sustained late in their come-from-behind 20-25, 25-15, 25-27, 25-19, 15-13 triumph over Black Mamba Army Thursday.

Celine Domingo, a 22-year-old former Far Eastern University standout, stepped up to fill the vacuum and contributed six points including a block.

“Ever since ready naman talaga ako kung tatawagin ako, ready to contribute,” said Domingo.

However, Creamline remains wary of BaliPure, a team that is coming off two straight victories including a giant-sized 19-25, 25-18, 13-25, 27-25, 15-12 win over pre-season favorite Chery Tiggo Thursday.

Bali Pure coach Romel Abella, whose team is at joint fourth with Petro Gazz on 2-1 slates, said they will try to live up on their new reputation as a never-say die squad.

“Pangangatawan na siguro naming yan,” said Abella.

In the only other game, No. 3 Chery Tiggo (3-1) faces off with Sta. Lucia Realty (2-3) at 3 p.m.
