Rains triggered by the southwest monsoon still managed to cause flooding in some areas in Metro Manila Wednesday afternoon, July 28.
According to a flood advisory sent by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) at past 3 p.m., at least four areas in Muntinlupa City were monitored to have knee-high floods as a result of the downpour.
These are Purok 1 Dulo in Barangay Buli; and Navarro compound, Miranda compound, and Purok 6 Block 4 in Barangay Bayanan.
Over in Valenzuela City, Lope de Guzman Street Esteban, Barangay Dalandanan had flood that was 10 to 12 inches high, while Manolo Esteban South dalandanan had flood that was between 14 and 15 inches deep.
Overall, the advisory showed significantly less severe flooding in the metropolis, if at all, as compared to the past few days.
Among the major roads in Metro Manila, only Roxas Boulevard Quirino Service Road was monitored to have flood, reaching only gutter-deep.
