Marikina City Rescue 161, in a Facebook post, said that the water level of the river hit 14.8 meters around 9 p.m. This is still classified as a normal water level, but it is very near to the first alarm.

First alarm will be raised once the water level reaches 15 meters, and sirens will be sounded to alert residents dwelling in low-lying areas in Marikina to prepare for possible evacuation.

So far, Marikina Rescue 161 said there is still no flooded area in the city.

For any emergency, Marikina residents may dial 161 to contact the rescue unit of the city government.
