A total of 575 certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) will be turned over to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) from different parts of Southern Leyte from July 28 to 29.

Agrarian Reform Secretary Brother John Castriciones will personally deliver the land titles through the agency’s Serbisyong DAR-to-Door distribution scheme.

“The secretary will personally hand over the CLOAs to farmer-beneficiaries, mostly aging, if not ailing farmers, who have long been waiting to receive the CLOA from the DAR, before proceeding to a designated venue for the ceremonial CLOA distribution,” DAR-Eastern Visayas Regional Director Ismael Aya-ay said.

Farm machineries will also be given out to selected agrarian reform beneficiaries’ organizations (ARBOs) as support assistance extended by the agency under the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability Program (ARBDSP).

According to Aya-ay, the secretary has been to the region twice this year to distribute CLOAs and turnover packages of support services to help improve the quality of life in rural areas as envisioned under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).
