Christmas is coming early, and it’s kicking off this July!

Ayala Land is bringing together two of the biggest Christmas icons to bring joy to families all over the country. Mr. Jose Mari Chan is producing the Christmas medley for Ayala Land and Make It Makati’s Festival of Lights: Virtual Edition.

The award-winning musician and representatives from Ayala Land held an intimate signing ceremony at Ayala Triangle Gardens, Makati to formalize their newest Christmas collaboration. It was attended by Mr. Jose Mari Chan; Chrissy Roa, Marketing Communications Head of Ayala Land Estates; Mel Ignacio, Head of Makati Estate, Ayala Land; Shiella Aguilar, Project Development Head of Makati Estate, Ayala Land; Misha Quimpo, ALI Project Development Manager; Sharon Vital, ALI Marketing Manager; and April Ylagan, ALI Senior Marketing Associate.

Being one of the most respected music icons in the Philippines, Mr. Jose Mari Chan is making a mark once again with a new Christmas track that will swoon the hearts of the young and old. Earlier works like “Christmas in Our Hearts” and “Count Your Blessings” have garnered massive attention over the years for its thoughtful lyrics and beautiful melody. The same mastery can be expected for his upcoming Christmas medley composition for the digital version of the Festival of Lights.

“The Festival of Lights is an event that people look forward to every year. I remember around 3 years ago when I was invited to perform right here at Ayala Triangle Gardens. I am glad that I was invited to be part of this festival that everyone looks forward to,” shares Mr. Jose Mari Chan.

Last 2020, the Festival of Lights held its first ever virtual event via Facebook and YouTube. Typically held at Ayala Triangle Gardens, the venue was recreated and designed within the digital space to present a 360-degree animation, fueled with an exciting orchestration of laser lights, string lights, meteor lights, holograms, and helix lights dancing to modernized renditions of traditional songs.

“What touched me most about the Festival of Lights: Virtual Edition is how it reached millions of Filipinos, especially those who are living in other countries and were unable to come home to their families for Christmas. It was an experience that families were able to share together even when they were apart. We hope that this year’s light show will continue to bring the same joy and meaning to you and your loved ones,” muses Ms. Shiella Agular.

“This year, we want to make or 2nd virtual light and sound show even more meaningful and special. While fun fare and merry making are part of the Christmas celebration, we want to remind everyone that the real reason for the season is the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. And to bring this to life, no one would ever come close to a Philippine music icon whose Christmas songs were all written from the heart and capture the true essence of Christmas,” added Ms. Chrissy Roa.

This November, Ayala Land is hosting the annual event virtually once again in partnership with Globe Studios led by filmmaker and director, Quark Henares.
