Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Leopoldp Vega welcomed the arrival of the medical team, which touched down at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City at around 4 p.m. Monday, July 26.

An Emirates airline flight carried the four-person team. Vega identified the medical experts as Guy Chosen, Chaim Marko Rafalowski, Eyad Jeries, and Shira Rachel Peleg.

This was the second batch of medical experts from Israel to come to the Philippines for the purpose of helping local authorities in the effort to control the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The particular team came even as the country continues to record new cases of the more dangerous Delta variant of the disease.

The medical experts will stay in the Philippines for five days, Vega said.
