Several areas in Manila not passable due to flooding


The Manila city government reported Saturday (July 24) that several areas in the city were not passable to light vehicles due to flooding caused by heavy rainfall.

Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) released the list of areas in the city that were passable and not passable to vehicles as of 1:00 p.m., July 24.

Passable to all types of vehicles:

  • Baseco Market - gutter deep (8 inches)
  • Finance Road (National Museum) - gutter deep (8 inches)
  • Finance Road facing Burgos - gutter deep (8 inches)
  • PNU to Ayala - gutter deep (8 inches)
  • Quirino Ave. going to Vito Cruz Quirino Ave. - gutter deep (8 inches)
  • P. Ocampo to Roxas Blvd. - gutter deep (8 inches)


Not Passable to light vehicles:

  • Taft NBI - tire level (26 inches)
  • Finance Road facing Burgos – half-tire level (13 inches)
  • UN Station – half-tire level (13 inches)
  • Taft Luneta – half-tire level (13 inches)
  • Pedro Gil – half-tire level (13 inches)
  • Quirin Ave. – half-tire level (13 inches)
  • Padre Faura – half-tire level (13 inches)
  • Taft Kalaw – half-tire level (13 inches)
  • Kalaw to Roxas Blvd. – half-tire level (13 inches)
