As physical graduation rites are still not allowed due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) has sent off its graduates through Minecraft.

Graduates of batch 2021 were sent off at the UST Minecraft server on Friday, July 23.

The graduates also virtually crossed the historic Arch of the Centuries.

In 2020, the university conducted a virtual campus tour to freshmen through Minecraft.

The 21.5-hectare UST campus was reconstructed by a team of around 80 students in Minecraft, a video game where players can build and explore things made by other players.
