The Department of Education (DepEd) is offering a research grant amounting to P500,000 to its qualified personnel who will submit proposals in line with the theme “Supporting and Assessing Learning Continuity" and "Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education (MTB MLE) Materials and Development."
Deped’s Call for National-Level Research Proposals is supported by DepEd’s Basic Education Research Fund (BERF).
In a Facebook post on Saturday, July 24, the department through its Policy Research and Development Division (PRDD) invited all qualified employees to submit research proposals for possible funding under the BERF for Fiscal Year 2021.
DepEd said national-level proposals should be nationwide in scope or should cover two or more regions.
The initiative “aims to further support and improve the policies, programs, and activities relevant to the implementation of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP),” it said.
The following are eligible to become BERF proponents:
-Regular/permanent teaching or non-teaching DepEd personnel;
-Proponents who have no pending administrative case;
-Proponents who have not yet availed of the grant for the given year; and
-Maximum of three research team members for group proposals.
DepEd said “a maximum grant amount of up to P500,000" awaits the qualified grantees.
DepEd said its Planning Service-Policy Research and Development Division (PS-PRDD) will be accepting national-level applications for prospective BERF support until August 29, 2021.
