DOH bares location of 12 new local Delta variant cases

The Department of Health (DOH) said three of the local Delta variant cases that were recently detected have addresses in the cities of Pasig and Taguig.

Two cases were found in Pasig, while one was detected in Taguig, said DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.

These cases were among the 12 local cases that were reported by the DOH on Thursday, July 22.

Meanwhile, six of the 12 new Delta variant local cases were detected in Bataan, two in Laguna, and one in the City of Manila. All these 12 cases were tagged as recovered.

To note, the Philippines has a total of 47 Delta variant cases. Of these, 23 were considered local cases, while the others were returning overseas Filipinos.

Of the 23 local cases, seven were in National Capital Region (NCR), six in Central Luzon, six in Northern Mindanao, two in Western Visayas and two in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon).
