Former Miss Philippine Youth Simone Nadine Bornilla is ecstatic after she was named as one of the official delegates for the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 competition.
Hours after she made the list on July 19, Simone took to social media to thank her supporters.

"Though it may seem like such a long shot, I’ll do my best to give pride to you, Marinduque. Hello everyone! I’m Simone Nadine Bornilla, 18 years old, and I’ll be representing the heart of the Philippines 
"Hoping and praying for everyone’s support. I’ll make sure I won’t disappoint. Until then, Maraming Salamat po to everyone who already congratulated not just me, but also my family.
"It’s overwhelming merely being a part of the official list of candidates, and I’m hoping to be able to get on stage with 29 of the many phenomenal women in the Philippines, and I know that I can only do this with as much support as I can get.
"Again, thank you so much po! To my team, I’m hoping that alongside the many hours of our preparation, we also enjoy this journey that would surely be filled with tons of excitement and sleepless nights.
"For now let’s celebrate getting past the first of the many steps ahead
