The Coast Guard underscored that the website claims are “false” and the malicious website is “not authorized by the PCG.”

“All concerned are enjoined to be vigilant and not fall into the said unauthorized claim. Kindly please disseminate widely to protect our innocent Kababayans and other international travelers,” the PCG said in a statement.

The PCG made the statement after a website claimed that the COVID-19 Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests that the agency has been offering for the international passengers upon their arrival in the country will be conducted by a Coast Guard personnel for a certain fee.

Returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and foreign nationals may relay their concerns and reports to the PCG Task Force Bayanihan returning overseas Filipinos through phone and Viber number: +63915-088-5276.
